ZERO CLICK MARKETING //
Book cover design

Cover design for "Zero Click Marketing", the new book by Amanda Natividad and Rand Fishkin of SparkToro, created in direct collaboration with the authors. The book explores how marketing is changing now that most online searches end without a click, and how brands can still grow and earn customers on a "traffic-starved web". It is published by Damn Gravity (2026).
The final cover relies entirely on lettering: a bold, oversized title in which the mouse cursor crashes into the "i" of CLICK and breaks it – a simple, ironic image of the click that never happens. The dark background, the vivid blue and red and the pink spine give the book a strong, recognisable presence on the shelf.
The project explored several directions before reaching this solution. Alongside the typographic concept, I developed illustrated covers built around characters and visual metaphors of the zero-click world: a bin full of discarded cursors, a clicking finger popped like a balloon, a giant pixel hand being painted. In the end, the authors chose the purely typographic version – the most direct and immediate, and one that every reader could relate to. Some of the illustrated proposals are shown below.
