THE MALL SANREMO // ILLUSTRATION & LEAFLET DESIGN

Illustrations and graphic design for The Mall Sanremo, developed with Studio Exhibita for a summer activation on the Riviera. The project promotes the free shuttle service connecting Alassio and Nice to the luxury outlet, through a folded leaflet designed as a small object to be experienced rather than simply read: alongside the practical information, the inside hosts a crossword, a sudoku and a "connect the dots" game, all inspired by the world of The Mall.

For this project I adapted my illustration style to the world of the brand: following the client's direction, the illustrations take on a more elegant, fashion-oriented character, in line with The Mall's luxury positioning. The cover portrays the outlet's open-air architecture overlooking the sea, accompanied by a series of illustrated details – straw hats, sandals, bags, shells and palm leaves – and two hand-drawn route maps.

The graphic design was developed within The Mall's existing brand guidelines, applying its typography, colour palette and visual identity across all materials. The leaflet was produced in four versions (Italian, English and French) and adapted into a set of social media assets in 1:1, 16:9 and 9:16 formats.

The project went through several stages before reaching its final form. It started with three illustrated concepts, each interpreting the Riviera experience through a different everyday moment – a pause at a café table, a quiet break with a book, a train journey along the coast – with crops studied for flyers, postcards, landing pages and social formats, followed by a colour study defining the palette and visual language.

Along the way the project changed direction: the illustration moved inside The Mall itself, and the leaflet took shape from a first layout sketch through to the final artwork.
